Export Controls Policy

USA*Engage is active in promoting sensible, multilateral-based export controls that address legitimate national security priorities without unduly harming the economic competitiveness or reputation of U.S. business. Our export controls coalition holds meetings with U.S. officials to discuss ways to protect national security while minimizing the negative impact on the U.S. economy. USA*Engage has taken the lead in advocating for a strategic approach to dealing with China and other important markets for U.S. exports, and encourages a serious cost-benefit analysis of proposed regulations.
